We have been operating for over 20 years as an important supplier of carbon products mainly for the Ferroalloys, Steel and Aluminum sectors.
- With CARBOVAM electrode pastes, we work in partnership with our customers to optimize the formation of electrodes, essential for the operation of electric reduction furnaces.
- We have developed cold coating pastes, repair pastes and injection pastes for the lining of crucibles, pouring zones and ladles, formulated to meet the most varied conditions of application and use.
Quality
More than an ordinary Quality Certification such as in traditional accredited organizations, we have implemented a System of Quality Management integrated to the process, which objective is to have a better control of the process, reducing variations in product properties. Our Electrode paste, as an example, will present a reliable and constant performance, according to the requirements demanded by each client.
Supply
We invest and have, as an important success factor, the technical relationship with our customers. Supply package includes monitoring of electrode operation, operator training and problem solving, aiming to optimize the process performance of our products. VAMTEC GROUP is currently developing electrode operation automation systems with new innovative devices, aiming to better manage the electrode formation process.

CARBOVAM - Special Carbon Products
We are today the largest supplier of pastes for use in oven crucibles and cold coating (CARBOVAM PRF) for the ferroalloy industry in the Americas. CARBOVAM PRF pastes can be formulated for use in lining Aluminum reduction vats.
Other leak zone products, repair pastes and injection control products, hot spots in the ovens, complement our product lines.
For the injection pastes that aim to extend the life of the carbon crucibles, the products used for application in Steel Blast Furnaces have a history of successful usage and excellent results practically obtained with our customers.
Electrodic Paste for forming electrodes in electric reduction furnaces
- Soderberg paste based on calcined carbonaceous materials and tar pitch
- Fluid dynamic properties for electrode formation in electric reduction furnaces
- Optimized properties for adequate flowability
- Results in an electrical current conductor with thermal behavior resistant to critical operating conditions
CARBOVAM BTI
High purity, for the production of special ferroalloys and metallic Si.
Note: The main types of paste can be formulated according to specific requirements of each customer operation in terms of purity, thermal shock resistance or other properties. Consult our Technical Department to discuss better solutions.
Injection paste for filling voids in coating in reduction furnaces and steel blast furnaces
- Paste based on materials of adequate density and thermal conductivity, using low viscosity organic binder
- for the maintenance and repair of damaged areas in the lining of reduction furnaces
Cold and hot coating paste
- Paste based on electrically calcined anthracite, tar pitch and special binder
- for lining reduction furnaces, race pans and race channels.
- Refractory property that allows it to be used in the plugging of running channels
CARBOVAM PRF
Coating and repairs in coal mining areas in the crucible of the furnaces for ambient application.
CARBOVAM PRQ
Coating and repairs in coal mining areas in the crucible of the furnaces for hot application.
